The Weeping Girl

I'm extremely happy to present this piece. I wrote it specifically for the Body Without Organs, which will be turned into a zine/small press around the summertime.
It is the most thoroughly I've worked on a piece in all respects, and the longest written work of mine so far. It is the longest I've consistently worked on a piece to its finish (not counting unproduced proposals, unfinished songs, half-drafts and journal entries) and the most inspired I've felt through the full writing process. This will probably remain one of my most accomplished pieces until the Titan full length is released.
It's quite long, too long to post directly on the blog so I took the time to lay it out as an 18-page PDF file for easy reading at 7"x4.5" (the same dimensions as my favourite 1960s Penguin Pocket books)
I don't want to say too much. I hope you take the time and enjoy it.

this is so much of you and so much of your energy invested. i love the way the girls are addressed and how the characters are so successfully translated through dialogue.. you can no longer be afraid of the writing of a play. as i told you earlier, i love this and i feel very close to it. it's something i think you should continue working with. don't lose your enthusiasm, james.

Yup, this really is fantastic. The descriptions of both the sex and the violence are so sensational and chilling. I don't want to say much more because I don't want to ruin the story for those who haven't read it... So I won't...
