OLD

This summer two publications have, after much anticipation, been released. I'm glad to announce this on my blog, because it shows some proof that I've been busier than my currently dormant blog can show.

The second, chronologically (view the post immediately before this one for the first) is OLD. Toronto based (at least, initially?), eachissue is topical and no topic will ever be repeated during it's lifetime as a publication. Each issue is formattedand printed to best articulate the topic discussed in handmade editions of only 50.

This issue the topic is words, or "ANDTHEWORD".

This was a particularly fun issue to work for. I wrote it in New York City in November of 2009 andtravelled to NYC with the specific intention of this story. It's definitely the most my imagination had been stretched and I'm extremely satisfied with the accomplishments of the short piece.
I also performed this piece at a fundraising event for the zine in February. I would be interested in doing thisagain.

Information for OLD can be found here:

The edition is wonderfully put together and meticulously designed. It's awonderful little project. But the assembly process was not without a bit of literalbloodshed. I'm into it.
